Liebster Blog Award

I was given a Liebster Blog Award a while back by my good friend/future illustrator, Arielle Guevara. I've been far too lazy to actually post about it, but I'm doing so now because whenever I lurk Arielle's blog (which is whenever I feel artsy), it's the first post I see. It was as if it were reminding me, "hey, Arielle gave you an award. Stop being lazy and show your appreciation by blogging about it."

Well... here I am now.

A little background info on the Liebster Blog Award:
The Liebster Blog Award is given to bloggers by bloggers. It is a way to acknowledge each other and say “you’re doing a great job”. It is for blogs with 200 or less followers, so it’s also a great way to spread the word about smaller blogs and get them more readers and followers!

When you receive the award, you post 11 random facts about yourself and answer 11 questions from the person(s) who nominated you. You pass the Award onto 11 other blogs (make sure you tell them you nominated them!) and ask them 11 questions. You’re not allowed to nominate the blog(s) who nominated you!

Should be pretty easy, hmm? I might end up tagging my friends with over 200 followers though.

Eleven Facts You Probably Didn't Know About Me

1. I have an English bloodline. Elizabeth Gaskell, anyone?
2. I sorta kinda? had my first dSLR before the age of ten (if I'm not mistaken).
3. I was originally meant to be called Inna or something like that, but my older brother kept messing it up and called me 'Nina.'
4. I took French classes one summer and only attended twice (or was that thrice?). The only thing I've fully memorized is 'Bonjour, je m'apelle Nina. Et toi, comment tu t'apelle?' and some other stuff.
5. I used to love the way Selena Gomez dressed circa-2008... Arm warmers and shorts over leggings were the bomb. *cringe*
6. I'm nicer in person than I am on the internet. I mean, I'm still a bitch - but not as much. This only applies to people I'm not very close to though... but yeah, this leads us to fact number seven, which is...
7. I'm a bitch. Although I think everyone already knew that.
8. I have originality/uniqueness/creativity issues. I get bothered when someone asks me a question about how I do things/where I buy stuff mostly because I'm a selfish knob.
9. I like making sly digs about myself.
10. I don't know what else to say now.
11. I had tickets to One Direction's Sydney concert last April. I didn't attend due to problems with my Visa. The same thing happened to me again, but this time, it was for the Madison Square Garden concert. *ugly sobbing*

That wasn't so hard, was it?

I finally got around to trying out levitation shots! It was really tiring to run back and forth from the tripod and try to keep my balance, but I think it turned out to be worth it. The morning sun was beating down on me, and it was extremely hot (curse you, Philippine weather) but Hideki once told me the best time to shoot was either in the morning or late afternoon. Seeing as my messed up sleeping schedule kept me from staying awake before the golden hour, I took my lazy bum out to our backyard and took photos.
Seeing as my photography skills are erratic (sometimes my shots turn out really well; sometimes they don't) , I'm pretty proud of the outcome. This batch has got to be my favorite set of photos so far. I know that makes me sound really full of it, but I quite frankly don't care.
romper, spiked headband, skirt, and bracelet - indiestructible / shoes - call it spring

Most of the items I'm wearing could be purchased off my online store (link above). I'm absolutely in love with the clothes I'm selling, and I would keep them if I could...

But I can't. *insert ugly sobbing here*

So instead, I'm mixing and matching them up for lookbook purposes. I'm a cheater. Hahaha.

And if it isn't obvious yet, levitation shots are my new favorite thing. You can view more photos here and I'll see you all in Hogwarts.

P.S.: I've made a Facebook page for my photography + blog. A lot of people have been adding me on my personal, but I can't accept you guys due to privacy reasons. Click here to like the page!

top & shorts - zara * boots - doc martens * flower crown - indiestructible

I was pretty excited to start wearing the sweater Chesca had given me, so I took the PA my mom had hired for me (I'm not as stuck up as that makes me sound! My mom was just tired of having to work with me for Indiestructible) outside and taught him (or her, rather) the basics of photography. I think they turned out pretty well! I've always been joking around saying I wanted my own personal photographer (however stuck up that sounds), so I guess I kind of do now!
I'm really in love with the studded details and the ombre effect the sweater has. I could just throw it on and not worry about looking under-dressed whenever I felt too lazy to plan an outfit. It's really a versatile piece - or at least in my opinion.
As for the flower crown, it's something I made for Indiestructible. I was experimenting with different kinds of flowers and that's what I ended up with. If you're interested in purchasing it, you can attend the BOHEMIA festival on the 17th or the 18th of November. I will be there, selling other flower crowns, bracelets, clothes, and more! :) I'm really really excited about this event as it's my first bazaar ever + it's a Coachella-inspired event. Local artists will be performing, there will be film screenings, and a whole lot of other stuff so I highly suggest you guys attend if you can! :)

It will be held at the NBC Tent in Taguig City. I will be there around 8PM on the first day. :)
Aaaaaand meet Juicy, my personal assistant. I think it's pretty weird for me to have a PA because I'm only fourteen, but it's nice to have a helping hand when it comes to my mini-business. I took some photos of him too (most of which could be considered outtakes) and he poses better than I do. Vogue, anybody?

Behind The Scenes at the Indiestructible x It's All About Hue Shoot

This is pretty late but here's the BTS video from my recent shoot with Nikita Conwi, Armaine Yapyuco, Sarah Carlos, Kyla Zuñiga, and Maita Atienza for Indiestructible. :) You can check out the photos here. It was an amazing experience. A little tiring, but a lot of fun.
